As a child, I was intrigued as I learned about animals that changed colors to blend in with their habitat, and I was inspired to write this story as I was teaching my first child about this natural phenomenon. Corky is a loveable little caterpillar whose adventure teaches children about how natural camouflage protects some creatures. Also, Corky deals with the universal struggle of being okay with one’s self. He shows children how he learned to be content and how important it is to have good friends on that journey.
